Ohio Revised Code Chapter 935 classifies nonhuman primates as dangerous wild animals. The definition includes nonhuman primates generally and separately identifies several additional primate species.

Ohio law states that a person generally may not possess a dangerous wild animal and may not acquire, buy, sell, trade or transfer possession or ownership of one, except as specifically authorized by the statute.
